# The Lyzi Pro Scan app asks me to scan a QR code at startup

### The signal

At startup, the Lyzi Pro Scan app displays **"You are not connected to a cash register, please scan a cash register code"** and opens the camera: **the app is disconnected.**

### The cause

**30 days of continuous inactivity.** If the app isn't opened for 30 days in a row, it disconnects from the cash register.

{% hint style="success" %}
**To avoid this:** launch the app from time to time, even without a payment.
{% endhint %}

### To reconnect it

1. Get the cash register's QR code:
   * either the manager finds it in the back office: **Point of sale and cash registers** › **Cash register** › **•••** (three small dots) › **Synchronize with the Lyzi Pro Scan app**;
   * or you ask Lyzi for the new QR code.
2. **Scan this QR code with the Lyzi Pro Scan app.**

### Expected result

The app displays the amount entry screen again. You can accept payments.

### Questions covered

* "The app asks me to scan a QR code"
* "You are not connected to a cash register"
* "The Lyzi app is disconnected"
* "How do I reconnect the app?"
* "Where can I find the QR code to reconnect my cash register?"
* "The app no longer works after the holidays"

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lyzi.io/en/faq/application-et-terminaux/lapplication-lyzi-pro-scan-me-demande-de-scanner-un-qr-code-au-demarrage.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
