# How can my customer exchange (swap) their crypto before paying?

If your customer holds a crypto that isn't accepted, or not enough of the right crypto, they can exchange it (do a "swap") for an accepted crypto before paying. It's **your customer** who does the exchange, from their phone.

### Where to do the exchange

| Where                                                                         | Condition                                             |
| ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------- |
| **On the payment page**, with the **two small arrows at the top of the page** | The customer has connected their wallet |
| **On** [**pay.lyzi.io/otc**](https://pay.lyzi.io/otc) | Same exchange tool, accessible directly |
| **In their own wallet or exchange** | Depending on the features of their wallet or exchange |

### The procedure with the Lyzi exchange tool

1. Open the **Exchange** screen (two small arrows at the top of the payment page, or pay.lyzi.io/otc).
2. In **From**, choose the crypto to exchange (for example POL).
3. In **To**, choose the desired crypto (for example USDC).
4. In **Send**, choose the amount to exchange.
5. **Confirm** the exchange.
6. Return to the payment and pay with the crypto obtained.

### Points to watch

* After the exchange, the customer pays **on the same network** as the one where they hold the crypto obtained.
* If the exchange takes time and the customer hasn't sent anything yet, you can cancel the transaction and then create a new one when they're ready.

### Questions covered

* "How can my customer convert their crypto?"
* "What are the two arrows at the top of the page?"
* "How do I do a swap on the payment page?"
* "How do I use pay.lyzi.io/otc?"
* "My customer has POL but wants to pay in USDC"
* "My customer doesn't have the right crypto"
* "Convert USDT to USDC"

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lyzi.io/en/faq/cryptomonnaies-wallets-et-exchanges/comment-mon-client-peut-il-echanger-swap-sa-crypto-avant-de-payer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
