# Glossary of crypto terms

| Term                     | Definition                                                                                                                                                                                                        |
| ------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Wallet** | App where the customer holds their cryptos: a dedicated app (MetaMask, Trust Wallet...) or an exchange's wallet. |
| **Exchange** | Platform for buying and selling cryptos (Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin, WhiteBIT...). |
| **Stablecoin** | Crypto whose value tracks a currency: EURC tracks the euro, USDC tracks the dollar. With Lyzi, stablecoins can be paid without connecting a wallet. |
| **Network** | Infrastructure on which a crypto circulates (Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum One, Base, Avalanche C-Chain, Optimism...). The same crypto can exist on several networks: the customer must send on the one they chose. |
| **Swap (exchange)** | Conversion of one crypto into another, for example USDT into USDC, in a wallet, an exchange or on the Lyzi payment page. |
| **Connecting a wallet** | Linking a wallet to the payment page to pay with a crypto other than a stablecoin. Not to be confused with logging in by email. |
| **Payment page** | Page that opens on the customer's phone after scanning the QR code. It displays the steps, the fees and any error messages. |
| **Short code** | Identifier of a transaction (for example 95SW40D3), to give to support. |
| **Payer assistance** | Blue button at the bottom right of the payment page, which lets your customer write directly to Lyzi support. |
| **Security check (KYT)** | Automatic verification of the origin of the cryptos sent, to detect risky funds. |
| **Hash** | Unique identifier of a crypto transaction. |
| **Collector** | The cash register associated with a cashier. A cashier only sees the transactions of their collector. |
| **WBTC** | Version of bitcoin that circulates on the Ethereum network. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lyzi.io/en/faq/support/glossaire-des-termes-crypto.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
