# Best practices for accepting crypto

### The 6 reflexes

| Reflex                                | Why                                                                                                      |
| ------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Payment page open** | The customer keeps it open until validation: error messages and the steps to follow are displayed there. |
| **Only "Payment validated" counts** | The customer's phone doesn't replace your device. |
| **Never a duplicate transaction** | Don't recreate a transaction if the customer has already sent their funds. |
| **Time limit exceeded: nothing lost** | The payment can still be validated. Abandoned transaction: arrow at the top left. |
| **Security anomaly** | Don't serve the customer until Lyzi has got back to you. |
| **App launched regularly** | After 30 days without use, it disconnects. |

### What you should never do

1. **Hand over the goods** before "Payment validated" on your device.
2. **Recreate a transaction** when the customer has already sent their funds, or in case of an insufficient amount.
3. **Promise** recovery of funds sent on the wrong network, or a refund timeframe.
4. **Announce a cause** before looking at the customer's payment page.
5. **Make assumptions** about the origin of the funds of a customer whose payment is under verification.
6. **Let the customer scan** the QR code from their wallet or exchange app: always the phone's camera.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.lyzi.io/en/faq/support/les-bonnes-pratiques-pour-encaisser-en-crypto.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
